Carne is a beautiful beach which sits along the Roseland, on the southern coast of my home county, Cornwall. Blessed with rugged, romantic scenery, which has often been windswept or sunkissed in many a movie over the years.
Clearly, this was a glorious location to wave goodbye to summer, by splashing amongst the waves, having a giggle, whilst snapping away a few shots. With my previous post illustrating how not to present yourself in front of the camera, I decided that this would be a great opportunity to spread my wings a little… with a little encouragement.
And no hangover.
Most summers should be spent running along the shores, galloping into the white horses and splashing about to your heart’s desire – the last two weeks of this August have been a vast improvement on the previous two, which were more about the Welly boots than the suncream.

It has been wonderful experiencing the summer of my childhood, over the past five or six days – disappearing off to a long, sandy shore, dipping and diving into the water whilst dodging a jelly fish or two.

Well, what can I say? Goodbye, Summer. You were short, sweet and hot – thankfully – I even managed to tan, for once!
Happy days, happy memories…
